Let the heart beat...💓

(NO SPOILERS!!! ABLE TO READ😌)

Even though I am a person who watches movies from Lumiere brothers to Marvel studios, I just felt like it'll be good if I share something about this movie with you.

Dil Dhadakne Do (meaning is let the heartbeat ) is a parallel movie (movies with features of both mainstream and art-house). (This movie contains a few item songs but still got deep ideologies, politics, and emotions.) directed by Zoya Akhtar. The narrator is the dog of that family. That is the coolest fact about this movie.

A rich married couple who got two adult kids are going on a cruise trip to celebrate their 30th anniversary with friends and relatives.

  In that journey so many revolutions happen inside the family, things don't get smoother.

The husband (Kamal) is a businessman. And the wife(Neelam) helps him.

Even the couple (parents) are having a modern rich life, always work with patriarchy. Their elder daughter (Ayesha) had a close relationship with their manager's son(Sunny). And then they sent him abroad to his further studies showing him fake love and giving the daughter to another rich family with marriage. And they didn't let their daughter work for their company after the father when she got so many skills in business.

However, she built her own company by selling her own jewelers and became a successful businesswoman.

 But they forced their son(Kabir) to work in that company, but he loves flying.

After the daughter's marriage, Indian society thinks that the daughter is no longer belongs to the family. She belongs to the family that she got married to. 

Ayesha (daughter) planned the whole cruise trip. But they didn't mention her name on the invitation card.

Society thinks, that this is an ideal and happy family, but deep inside it is a dysfunctional family. 

Kamal and Neelam decide to get their son Kabir married to another business family to save their bleeding company. Basically, they use their son's emotions for money.

And Neelam ( mother) doesn't listen to her daughter's problems properly and blames her for telling her to stop overacting because she is a famous businesswoman and stop her career and focus on the family (married family). Ayesha was not happy with her mother-in-law and her typical husband at all but tolerated everything.

Kamal blames their kids that these days kids don't know about ethical relationships, but the son (Kabir) reveals that Kamal has cheated on Neelam so many times and Neelam knew the truth, but she never asked about them. 

This movie tells us that love is not spending money on your close ones. You have to understand them by having quality conversations, being more sensitive to them. Care about other people's feelings. Respect everyone.

In addition, just because someone got lots of money, that doesn't mean that person is spending a happy life.

Sunny who was Ayesha's soulmate, is the only man who got any sense in this movie. I've put a video at the end of this article. Watch that too.

I'm going to say nothing more about this because I don't want to make this a spoiler. I invite you all to watch the movie with my warm heart.
